Dan Atkinson

It all started with a garden.

Growing up in the north, Dan learned a simple lesson from his dad: Everything you grow is meant to be shared. That garden became a lifeline not only for his family but also for others, providing organic, sustainable, and nourishing food.

Years later, it would be that same lesson that would draw him back to his deepest passion: sustainable agriculture.

From building the only remaining peat manufacturing facility in Ontario to installing hydroponic gardens for private institutions, Dan has spent decades working hands-on with how food is grown, shared, and sustained. He’s seen firsthand the promise and limitations of Canada’s modern farming systems, especially in effectively serving people and communities.

Today, Dan operates GR365N, a hydroponic farm near Guelph, Ontario, that grows leafy greens and fresh herbs year-round, while also installing commercial and residential indoor hydroponic systems across Canada.

Every project, experiment, and installation has shaped one belief: food systems work best when we come together.

Sharing Knowledge for Impact

We’re so much more than innovators; we’re advocates for practical food independence.

We believe that true food security and sustainability do not end with the proper system; they begin when knowledge is shared, skills are passed on, and people feel confident and empowered to grow food for themselves and others.

That belief is built into every aeroponic system we create.
